in values that has resulted in serious environmental damage. Time is of the essence, and there is an
urgent need for all-encompassing educational projects to infuse society with new thinking and to channel
technology and progress towards a life-supporting direction. The energy of the young, combined with the
experience of senior citizens, can help to promote progressive initiatives in international cooperation
for the protection of the environment and the fulfilment of a better life for all.
