About the Statement
The Statement will outline the initial intentions and perceptions of the Club of Rome which resulted in the Report to the Club on the Limits to Growth.
It will trace how these perceptions and the mission of the Club have evolved over the past 40 years as the nature of the issues and our
understanding of them have changed. The Statement will conclude with an outline of the future plans of the Club of Rome, derived from
the decisions at its Annual Assembly in Madrid in September 2007, to propose lines of action to counter the increasingly urgent threats
to humanity and the planet in the 21st Century.
