About the Statement
Last years an enormous emphasis has come on CO2 exhaust, climate change. For many people it became a kind of demon. But even if we would reach the norms of the Kyoto protocol, it is a reduction of life. It is an ethical view that is still in a childless phase. It is acting out of fear, not coming from intrinsic values. Therefore ‘rethinking’ of values is needed to come to a more adult ethical view: to come from quantity to quality. Therefore also some taboos should be opened. For example: a main problem of all life today is overconcentration of people on certain places of the earth. It is giving problems in many fields of life: social, demographical, psychological, political, and not in the least, ecological ones.
For that, we will have to overlook of today’s general values. Can they be the same as yesterday? Can we have the same culture? Or shall we also renew the culture adequate to the new situations? Aiming at a renewable culture? For changing the today’s paradigm we will have to have a tool. And one of the tools (the main tool?) is a new economic paradigm. An of course this needs to be applied on micro, meso and macro scale.
