Of course the title is provoking, but if we have a look at the present situation of humankind, we have to admit that in many areas the lessons from the Limits to Growth, the first report to the Club of Rome, have not been learnt. There are local areas where efforts for sustainable development have had some success, but on the global scale the situation is dramatic. In the booklet, Dennis Meadows gives an outline on the results of the 30-Year Update of Limits to Growth. His article is in English, the contributions by Helga Kromp-Kolb, Erich Valentin and Siegfried Sellitsch are in German. |
