"In the year 2002, the Catalan Group of the Club of Rome decided to publish the presentations of the speakers at different activities organized by the Group. The objective was to make these ideas available to a greater audience. Included in these publications are the different themes organized by the Catalan Group from 2002 until now: Demographics, Education and Cultural Dialogue. In addition the Group has focussed on other subjects: security, sustainability, climate change, globalization, terrorism and the environment. We want to thank specially the sponsorship of Port de Barcelona (from 2002 to 2004) and Consorci de la Zona Franca of Barcelona (from 2004 until now) because without them these books would not have been possible."
